Probably getting tied down to creating things I’m not happy with. Too many times people see something you’ve done before which you have done and they like, and basically just want the same thing with their name on it. And I usually give up and just let the client take over.
I’m not saying I’d prefer the client just agree with everything I do, because I love working off feedback, I just don’t like ruining a design just to keep the client happy.
This usually results in a design which I’m not happy with.
I prefer working with clients who don’t just want clones, but have ideas and allow for me to get my ideas through in the design.
I think as time goes on I’ll try and stamp as much of my own personality into my designs as possible, and be more selective about clients.
